Housing Development Finance Corporation Plc.

The Housing Development Finance Corporation Ltd (HDFC) was setup in March 2004, as an initiative of the government of Maldives to provide the much needed financing for the residential and commercial housing sector, to address the pressing demand for housing, particularly in the Malé region. HDFC was incorporated with technical assistance from the World Bank. On the 9th of February 2006, Company was registered as a public company. However, no shares have yet been offered to the public.
