There are currently six different denominations of banknotes issued by Maldives Monetary Authority.
The front of all banknotes in circulation depicts a bunch of coconuts and the "Dhivehi Odi". The coconut is widely used in the Maldives and the "Dhivehi Odi" built of coconut timber was used for inter island transport.
